Evaluation Plan - Math

This artifact is an evaluation plan and pilot-testing report developed for the ECI 716 course (Design and Evaluation of Instructional Materials) by Bill Fisher. The plan focuses on evaluating a professional development program designed to teach educators about new technology tools and how to implement them effectively in mathematics lesson plans. The project includes a context analysis, statement of the problem, content analysis, design blueprint, proposed instructional design project, target audience, and evaluation strategy.

The evaluation plan includes both formative and summative evaluation components. The formative evaluation involves expert walk-throughs and pilot tests with elementary and middle school mathematics teachers in Johnston County. The summative evaluation examines the overall effectiveness of the professional development program, using pre- and post-module questionnaires and semi-structured interviews.

his artifact demonstrates my ability to design a comprehensive evaluation plan for an instructional design project. It showcases my skills in developing evaluation instruments, analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, and reporting findings. The evaluation plan aligns with the goals of ensuring the quality and effectiveness of instructional design and improving educational technology competence among teachers.
